Because I always seem to dread doing it or something for no reason



So let's start at the beginning with things people usually already know!

I am known primarily as Shiny (although Ali also works and is what I use in proper situations) on the internet and in my everyday life. I am African American/West Indian (an easier way of saying 1/4 Antiguian & 1/4 Jamaican) I am 26 (as of Dec. 23rd) and will soon be going to college for Japanese Language and International Studies. As for gender I don't really mind if you call me he, she or whatever pronoun in between. I don't personally identify with either gender, though :|a

I was born in Queens, NY and have lived all over. Currently I reside between Atlanta, GA & Montgomery, AL. I'd like to be in Atlanta, but we are not in the right place to do that yet. The place I liked living the most would definitely be Hawaii because of how much I hate the cold. My mother is also moving from Atlanta to Nevada right now... which I don't understand at all, but I intend on making the most of it if need me to do out there :|... at least I'm use to annoying plane rides.

Fandom-wise I am one of those actively under the radar people in all of the ones I'm in. I do art, RP, write, cosplay, and go to cons. My roommates and I are even planning to run a tokusatsu panel at one of our future cons. Last AWA(Anime Weekend Atlanta) was hugely successful! We cosplayed as the Greeeds(Uva, Gamel & Kazari) and Nago, Eiji & Shoutarou and everyone loved it. We even had an Ankh and a Mezool by the end of the con. We gave out lollipops to everyone who could recognize our cosplay or promised to watch Kamen Rider of we gave it to them, and a lot of them actually did it.

Getting back on track... I am somewhat active in Kamen Rider (Favorite: W) & Super Sentai (Favorite: Go-Onger). I have quite a few other toku's under my belt, but to a much lesser extent. I follow Japanese actors & watch J-dramas and movies. My love does extend to Power Rangers as well! I wouldn't even be doing any of this if it wasn't for Power Rangers and it being my childhood obsession. I don't even care what people think, I watch and enjoy Power Rangers Samurai, but I sincerely loved Ninja Storm, Mystic Force, and In Space. My living room is filled with Power Ranger and Kamen Rider Toys. It's not even funny. You'd walk into our house is run by 7 year old's.

RP wise, which is where most people know me from, I play in cfud. As of right now I play Shiro from the Amuse stage play BLACK & WHITE(One of my favorites. I suggest everyone who hasn't seen it to really go watch it), Azuma Wataru from the J-drama Tumbling, Hino Eiji from Kamen Rider OOO, and Joe Gibken from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. OOO's wise I started out rping as Ankh and Eiji was something of a leap of faith, but I am quite happy I did it. My Ankh is amazing and anytime the two are together, it is always horrible and amusing. Gokaiger wise I also rp as and greatly enjoy Basco. Sometimes my love for Basco for being a horrible git rivals that of my angsty deadpan snarker. I don't currently play Basco anywhere, but I want to so badly. I am trying to be good and wait until they kill(or don't kill) him off. . . but it's so damn hard to wait.

Also video games! I am a heavy video game player. I like all type. There isn't much of a limit. Right now I am playing through Assassins Creed with my roommates. All of Assassins Creed. I'm also quite the sucker for the classics too(though not as much as my aibou takeuchi is). The ones I enjoy the most though are Blazblue & Guilty Gear, Sengoku Basara, KOEI Warriors, DWGundam, various eclectic RPGS, Xenosaga, Atlus which makes me sob in my heart, Square Enix, Tales of (any and everything), MMOs of every shape and size.

I did state that I write fics, and I do. I write for my fandoms, be it current or old. Some of the series of fics I do with my roommate and aibou takeuchi/Char. For example A Distance Here Between Us, our Basco/Daiki fic. We have a few fics lined up, both together and on our own, right now. Our current, bigger project is a Gokaiger-Final Fantasy X AU. . . She wanted to see how we could do an AU and the idea was born. Now suddenly Joe is a summoner, Marvelous isn't real, Basco is marrying Joe, and AkaRed is destroying Spira.

Of course upon re-reading I realize that you have placed Marvelous in the Tidus spot and not Auron as I originally assumed (derp derp red coats everywhere) WHICH IS ALSO FINE except now I'm wondering who Auron is. <<; WHAT BIASED.

I add pretty much everyone who adds me because my reading list is so small and this journal is so new. ._. I'm just not sure how all these awesome toku people are finding me. Is everyone stalking my tumblr?

YEAAAAH WELL. I have never been much of a gamer but I got a 3DS for Christmas with OoT and I've already beaten it twice now, and every time I get to the Gerudo area all I can see is Joe. DAT HAIR ._.

Auron was the sport we weren't sure about along with Ahim until we figured she would be the cutest, most adorable, most fearsome Ronso we could probably get from this team. With Don being Wakka & Luka being Rikku... there was clearly a gap, and having already decided Sid would be Braska, it meant we'd need someone who would be compatible with Sid and AkaRed to the three of them could journey.

In the end... we still aren't sure :|a Auron has big shoes to fill, kicking Marvelous' ass in the direction he needs to go.

Oh probably. We are excellent stalkers. We stalk everyone, even people who wouldn't think their stalkable. We just really crave making new friends to talk about all of the things with.

/hides I just don't think I am stalk-WORTHY is all. But I definitely crave friends, since I'm still new to being an otaku~. And no one understands my burning desires for Yuki and Gaku ;~;

WELL. My husband is an OoT aficionado, he's a literal living walkthrough. I can tell him a bare detail of a dungeon and he can tell me exactly what I need to do. XD I wouldn't have been able to beat it without him.

Pfffft. I just got finished, looking at Gaku's pictures. I'm making Sid icons and just sort of stopped to admire that which is Gaku a while.

Hahaha, that sounds awesome. It sounds a lot more effective than the trial and error that goes into any game Char and I do together.

Yeah well. XD Other than that I have to just futz around in any given game. Which is why I just play the same games over and over and over again instead XD
